HHA Newsletter – July 2024 – Volume 12

A Message from the Executive Director

Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart has been a leader supporting our community for decades. His relentless support and dedication, especially to the Hialeah elderly community, is admirable. With his help, along with our dedicated State Representatives, our Mayor, and local officials, we have been able to secure millions of dollars in programs to address the needs of the people in our beautiful city. The Congressman makes it a point to always visit our lunchrooms and attend our events whenever his busy schedule allows it.

Senator Rick Scott visited our elder community at Goodlet Park on June 19, 2024. We are grateful for his commitment to our community.

"Together we will continue to make Hialeah thrive". Thank you for your support and for reading this quarter's newsletter.

Sincerely,
Julio Ponce, Executive Director

A message from Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart

Protecting our most vulnerable populations, including our veterans, seniors, and persons with disabilities, as well as ensuring decent, safe, and affordable housing has always been a top priority of mine.

Through my work in the House Appropriations Committee, I have a proven track record of reducing costs while securing millions in federal funds to Florida's 26th Congressional District, which I have the honor to represent.

I look forward to continuing this work and I thank HHA's Executive Director, Julio Ponce, and City of Hialeah Mayor, Esteban Bovo, for their leadership and teamwork, which have been instrumental in HHA's success.

Sincerely,
Mario Diaz-Balart, Congressman
